AUGUST 24TH 11AM - CHECK IN

The forest does not care that you are here. And this year, for the first time in festival history, you will feel that truth completely. Twenty acres of private wilderness. No neighbors. No structures. Nothing man-made between you and the horizon except the distant, snow-capped presence of Mt. Adams. This is home base — for the excursions, the cabin events, and an extraordinary week of indie horror from the most daring directors on the planet. Whether you join us for three nights, five, or the full seven — welcome to the dark. We've been expecting you.

6AM AUGUST 25TH FALOCNRY EXCURISON

Cabin In The Woods Film Festival has become known for its screenings of films that will haunt you forever, on August 25th we take a break to learn the ancient art of falconry. Nothing says "elevated horror experience" quite like having a bird of prey land on your arm before returning to the films that'll make you scream.

Sound Healing

11AM AUGUST 27TH  INTRODUCTION TO SINGING BOWLS

We're officially adding a singing bowls learning experience to this year's programming. You'll learn how to play singing bowls and explore the meditative, resonant effect of this ancient practice. It's the perfect counterpoint to an evening of intense horror screenings.

The first is offered as the evening opens to set the mood, the second presented at intermission to deepen the atmosphere, and the third unveiled in the final act to carry you through to the last chill.

AUGUST 30TH

CHECK-OUT SPA SESSION

Every great story deserves a slow ending. Your final morning unfolds at the pace of the forest itself — a long, indulgent brunch, an outdoor spa session beneath the open sky, and absolutely nowhere to be until 2pm. Take your time. Say your goodbyes to the trees. Checkout, when it comes, will feel less like a departure and more like a fade to black.

The Falconry Excursion and the Secret Hike

Though participation is not required, please note you must arrive the night before to attend the Falconry Excursion and the Secret Hike as we leave early in the morning and will be away from the cabin all day. If you are checking in later on an excursion day, you will be greeted by Callie Benz, the cabin’s Executive Guest Services Manager who will guide you through welcomingly daily itinerary.

Cabin In The Woods Film Festival is a horror film festival that showcases and celebrates international, ethnic, and gender diversity in all horror genres created by independent filmmakers, small studios, and students from all across the globe.
